In a world of GDPR compliancy it is vital to ensure personal details (such as names, addresses, contact details and such like) are kept safe and for a company to manage access and the ability to remove the data upon receiving a request. Therefore, sending schedules via emails add complication to a company's ability to correctly report on data usage, while writing information on paper makes it virtually impossible for a company to remain GDPR compliant.

Managers have access to an overview of all vacations so that no one has too much time off at the same time. Managers are able to approve and decline holiday requests through the associated approvals request screen. Managers can limit how many hours holiday a staff member has, thus ensuring they do not request more holiday than they are allowed.

Approval & rejection notifications
The approval system is used when an employee requests time off. If the manager approves this, then the holiday request is automatically added to the schedule in the appropriate period. Should a manager decline this request, then any proposed changes are removed from the schedule and notification of these changes will be sent to both parties involved (employee/manager).

The staff view allows members to see how much time off they have left and, if they have permission, view holiday requests from other users - ensuring there is no double booking. The month view offers quick oversight of staff working patterns and holiday requests, while the day view offers this in more granular detail.
